We welcome proposals for workshops for the 18th IFIP WG 8.1 Working Conference on the Practice of Enterprise Modelling (PoEM), taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, on December 3 — 5, 2025.

Instructions for Workshop Proposals

We encourage workshop proposals that target innovative applications of enterprise modelling within the specific focus on the PoEM’25 conference theme Enterprise Modeling for Sustainable Reindustrialization. Topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • Enterprise modelling foundations
  • Empirical studies on enterprise modelling
  • Enterprise modelling and artificial intelligence
  • Ontologies and languages for enterprise modelling
  • Enterprise design and engineering
  • Enterprise modelling for software development
  • Enterprise security, risk, and privacy
  • Value modelling
  • Data-driven enterprises
  • Sustainable enterprises
  • Resilience and antifragility
  • Digital transformation
  • Blockchain technology
  • Industry 5.0
  • FAIR principles and data management
  • Internet of Things
  • Digital twin technologies and their applications

Workshop Proposal Requirements

Workshop proposals are limited to 5 pages. They must include:

  • A title
  • An abstract of at most 150 words
  • A statement on the purpose and the format (paper-based or discussion-based) of the workshop. List the workshop topics and explain how the focus of the workshop complements the main conference
  • Organizing workshop chairs including short bios
  • The number of expected papers and attendees
  • Length of workshop: half-day or full-day
  • A preliminary timeline for the workshop, mention of any keynote and infrastructure/room layout requirements
  • A list of tentative PC members
  • Information on previous editions (if available)
  • Information on advertisement plans

Publication

In case of acceptance, workshop chairs are responsible for managing the paper review process, including the call for papers, reviewer assignment, decision making, and collecting final versions.

Accepted workshop papers will be published in joint CEUR-WS post-proceedings. All workshops must use the CEUR-WS 1-column format with paper lengths between 5 and 15 pages (including references and appendices).
